On August 18, 2022, the Door Country Resource Planning Committee chose greed over the public good. In a vote of 3 to 2, a 27 lot high-density sub-division was approved for the 57 acre Olde Stone Quarry.

This fragile karst Niagara Escarpment bedrock surface can now host housed for a future few, instead of the enjoyment of many.
